Borders Championship

 

2026 Borders Championship (Weekend Away).

For 2026 we ventured south to North Yorkshire and stopping in Harrogate centre again as we had in 2025. This time we played Richmond Golf Club and Cookridge Hall Golf Club, a new course to the Society.

 

Round 1 - Richmond Golf Club

Borders Championship round 1, Top 4 -

1) Ian Lawson with 33 points.

2) Bryan Mountford with 32 points.

3) Jim Rooks (on countback) with 31 points.

4) Gary West also with 31 points.

 

Round 2 - Cookridge Hall Golf Club

Borders Championship round 2, Top 4 -

1) John Ford with 42 points.

2) Andy Trewick with 41 points.

3) Eddie Harrison with 34 points.

4) Michael Brace with 32 points.

 

Borders Championship Final Top 3.

In 3rd place with a total of 63 points (33&30) was Ian Lawson.

In 2nd place with a total of 65 points (23&42) was John Ford.

The winner and new Borders Champion for 2026, with a total score of 70 points (29&41) was Andy Trewick.
