Basic rules and details
As you all know golf is a unique sport where each individual player is responsible for understanding and playing within the rules. Unless you are playing in a major competition there is no referee or official watching over you so it's down to each individual players integrity.
The basic Rules of Golf have been produced and administered by the R&A, who alongside the USGA govern the sport worldwide. We as a private Golf Society are allowed to produce our own "Society" rules but as a whole we are all expected to abide by the R&A rulebook wherever possible.

There is also a link to the 2019 revised R&A and USGA Rules of Golf.
